Food technology room refurbishment

Innova has completed the design and installation of an inspirational ‘masterchef style’ food technology room for Virgo Fidelis Convent School in London.

Food Technology rooms are active, working environments that require high Health and Safety standards, and purpose built installations.

Innova’s food technology interiors are designed to support and inspire learning.  From flexible workstations to integrated units, storage solutions and teachers walls, we create the perfect classroom – leaving you and your students to cook up a storm!

The Brief

Our brief was to refurbish the old technology room and transform it into a bright, modern space with a contemporary feel, providing zones to cook, work in groups and write up theory.

The Solution

As part of the design process Innova developed the layout of the room, to maximise the space for both teaching and learning. We paid particular attention to flexible work stations, integrated units, storage solutions and designing a space that was practical in a busy environment.

Durable and high quality solid surfaces were used throughout to deliver a finish that would last.

Pastel greens and light work benches create a bright and airy feel to the room. A wood-effect non slip flooring  added a contemporary twist to the design, taking inspiration from the Masterchef’s kitchen.

  • A specially designed room, with spaces to cook, work in groups and areas for written theory work.
  • Durable, high quality Velstone solid surfaces used throughout to create a finish that would last.
  • A “masterchef” style colour scheme, complete with a wood-effect non-slip laminate flooring.
