Innova’s Work wows a Leading Politician

On the 4th November 2011 Labour leader Ed Miliband was blown away by the new stylish dining room that Innova Design has created on his recent visit to Southland’s High School. Innova’s flare and passion for design was instantly recognised by Ed Miliband.

Having previously designed a stunning new Science Block, IT Suite and striking Auditorium for Southland’s, we were delighted to be chosen to design, manufacture and install a 21st century bistro style dining room.

Previously the canteen was featureless and unappealing, with crowded tables, 80’s style fixed plastic chairs and an old-fashioned serving hatch. Innova wanted to create a space that students and staff would enjoy to be in. Our aim was to create a contemporary multi-functional dining room fit for the demands of everyday use, a space to dine and socialise.

Innova started by maximising the space, with ergonomically designed benching and tables which would fit the maximum amount of students.

Using hard wearing surfaces, we created a finish that would last. We enhanced the room with splashes of colour and added a dramatic striped feature wall and graphics to break up the white spaces. The room was finished off with stunning feature lighting and a soft seating area, to create a bistro style feel.

With rave reviews from both staff and students alike, Innova’s job is done!
