Southlands school council were involved every step of the way in the planning of their new dining room, from the furniture to the colour schemes. Innova met with the school council to discuss the project, brainstorm ideas and to get a feel for what the students really wanted in their dining room. From bright colours to a soft seating area, the students of the school council briefed Innova to transform their tired looking dining room into a modern restaurant inspired space. Our interactive design process ensures that all members of the school, from teachers to students, councils and governors, are involved in creating a space that works for them.

Innova has renovated the dining room into a 21st century space, including a breakfast bar with trendy bar stools, a sofa area, stunning feature lighting, striking graphics as well as increasing the capacity of the dining room.

Headteacher, Mark Fowle is delighted with the results, ‘I have been to other schools, but never have I seen anything like the new dining room.’ and the ‘work has really equipped us for the future.’ Students at the school have expressed their delight with the final result, ‘it is much better than we could have imagined.’ and ‘we can’t recognize it from what it used to be like’.
